A Joyful Day at Elkhorn Ridge: Sierra & Jackson’s Christ-Centered Wedding

Some wedding days just feel like a deep breath of fresh air—and Sierra and Jackson’s was exactly that. These two were married at the beautiful Elkhorn Ridge Resort just outside of Spearfish, South Dakota, surrounded by their loving families, a close-knit group of friends, and a strong foundation of faith.

This wedding was extra special for me. A couple of years ago, I had the honor of filming Jackson’s sister’s wedding, and getting to reconnect with their family again was such a gift. They’re the kind of people who make you feel instantly at home—and Sierra fits right in with them.

From the very beginning of the day, it was clear how much joy and meaning surrounded everything. Sierra and Jackson chose not to see each other before the ceremony, and when Jackson finally saw his bride walking down the aisle, the emotions hit hard. He couldn’t hold back the tears—and honestly, no one could blame him. It was a powerful moment, full of reverence and love.

Their ceremony beautifully reflected their shared Christian faith. It wasn’t just a formality; it was a genuine celebration of what God has brought together. Every part of the day—from their personal vows to the worship-filled moments—felt like an extension of their walk with Christ.

But it wasn’t all serious. These two (and their people) know how to have fun. From getting ready in the morning to tearing it up on the dance floor that night, the day was filled with laughter, happy tears, and the kind of energy that makes you feel lucky just to be in the room.
