An heirloom filmmaker that captures the feeling, not just the day.

inquire

I got into wedding videography because I wanted to make things that last. Not highlight reels. Not content. Real films; the kind you press play on ten years from now and feel the whole day rush back.

That's still what draws me to this work. Not the gear, not the trends, not becoming "Instagram famous". The fact that what I'm filming is actually happening. Your wedding day is a real event with real stakes and real emotion, and my job is to be there for all of it, the planned parts and the unplanned ones.

I work quietly, and when something worth remembering happens, I'm already recording.

While rooted in South Dakota, I've filmed weddings across 7 states and counting. From coastal elopements to desert weddings, wherever you're getting married, I'll be there.

I'm not chasing a shot for my portfolio or cutting your film to trend on social media. Every decision I make on your wedding day is in service of the story you actually lived.

This film is yours, not mine.

I'm not pulling you aside for posed reaction shots or staging moments that didn't happen. I stay out of the way and let the day be what it is. If something is worth capturing, I'll be there when it unfolds.

Document, don't direct.

Your wedding day won't go exactly as planned. The moments that catch you off guard, the ones that make you laugh or cry before you're ready — those are the ones worth keeping. That's what I'm looking for.

Real over perfect.

my philosophy

“Nathaniel was so helpful in all aspects of our perfect day. He was much more than a videographer for us and went the extra mile for us on our wedding day and even before. He’s a super great dude, made us feel so comfortable and like he wasn’t even there, so he truly was able to capture such an authentic representation of our lives.” - Kristi & Colton

Every wedding is different.
Your film will be too.

The couples I work best with aren’t checking a box. They’re planning their wedding to actually be theirs, and they’re not worried about performing for the camera. They just want to be there for their wedding day.

I’m drawn to the small in-between moments, when it’s just the two of you and the whole world goes still, and nobody even knows I’m rolling. When you watch your film back, the goal is simple: for you to say, “that’s our wedding. That's us.”
